Heavy attacks auto canceling

I've had that happen occasionally, not sure when it started for me but it's especially frustrating in dungeons and the Infinite Archive

It's getting worse. Somehow it's getting worse to try and do heavy attacks. I played in Cyrodiil yesterday for about 2 hours and this bug occured at least 30 times.

Haven't had any issues, and I heavy attack a lot.

Have you guys tried replacing your mouse? If the mouse button does not click when clicking it, it means the spring is broken, and it will auto-release the button even if you keep pressing it. This can even be the case if it does click. This has happened to me in the past a few times, especially when using heavy click/buttonsmashing games like ARPG's or MMO's, this is bound to happen at some point.

A replacement mouse isn't expensive, luckily.

PS: In the video posted on the first page, you can also see the mouse double click instead of holding the button. As after the 'full' heavy attack, it swings again. And sometimes it just double swings, instead of the heavy attack.

well I'm holding the button down and nothing happens about half the time. Sometimes I have to do a roll and even then it won't always start up again.

It feels like that a lot for me too. I used to be able to at least get the first attack to go off, but lately the first one has had trouble working occasionally. I was taking an enemy resource by myself in Cyrodiil and it was a nightmare trying to do heavy attacks. Between the attacks stopping after every two, or not starting at all, or the guards bashing and stunning(because they know if you hold attack 0.00002s longer), I nearly just left it. In the time I was at that resource I had my heavy attacks stop 10 times or more. I even tried when then I was just turning the flag with no enemies around and they still stopped on their own.

My experience post-update has shown an improvement in heavy attack consistency, but the issue is still there. Attacks will still cancel randomly. It also feels like there has been a change in how melee heavy attacks target enemies. They seem to miss more often. If I queue a ranged heavy attack before targeting an enemy, the attack will still connect, but the same is not necessarily true for a melee heavy attack.

Correction. Heavy attacks are not any better. They still stop just as often. After playing for some time in different locations I am seeing the same behavior.

Ticket #250607-001351 was submitted for this bug so that the team knows the issue still exists after U46.

Seems worse for me
it take 2 or 3 tries to get it going. Not fun in pvp

These were a mild demonstration. It gets worse. It has a tendency to line up with the other player just about to go down and my attacks stop or miss with them right in front of me. Weird how that happens.

I was able to take this video showing light and heavy attacks not working at all when trying to attack at a certain angle. I wonder if this is a the cause of the usual heavy attack problem. In the video I am trying to light and heavy attack only.
