Been running Scrivener's Hall without much luck getting the bits I need. Is there really that much difference between these 2? Thank you.

I run deadly, not runecarver. I have seen people suggest runecarver for DK but not for arc, but maybe I'm out of the loop.

Runecarver procs fire damage and DK gets a 33% bonus to fire and poison damage, so this makes a lot of sense. For other classes, deadly seems like it would be a much better choice.

Once upon a time, I believe Runecarver was a really good set for Necromancers as well (mostly because Shocking Siphon and its morphs deal damage once every 0.6 seconds, if memory serves me right, so they could proc Runecarver more often than some of the other classes). Below you'll find a screenshot of the first parse that popped up when I searched for 'ESO Necromancer Runecarver', and the set dealt almost as much damage as Stalking Blastbones (RIP).

Yes this makes sense that if you have a class/setup what has damage abilities that tick more often than once per second, that you would also get good mileage out of Runecarver, but my experience with necros since the first year of their launch is that they're rather clunky to play and difficult to use for anything but a block tank (or a bomb, maybe a support class). But for those who enjoy the playstyle, I guess this would still be a good choice.

Runecarver is good for 12 man content on arcanist. For 4 man content though, Deadly would be better.
