Vaults of madness quest bug

So before todays patch I could not even get the quest. Now I can get the quest, but the second objective to rescue saryne dralen does not work. I look on the map in the spot she is supposed to be and she is just not there at all. PLease just fix this already this lack of skill point is seriously annoying me!

Alright idk what I did different besides making sure no one had the quest before we got in but now it works for some reason. Whatever its still pretty broken.

ANOTHER Vaults of Madness bug:
it's supposed to be lvl 48-50 dungeon. IT IS NOT! it's 48-49 dungeon, as when you hit 50 (V1), you can NOT queue in LFG tool to find group for it.

I usually do dungeons when i hit max level for the dungeon and sadly found out the hard way, I can't do Vaults of Madness anymore at all now. At least not in normal mode ...

Yeah did this with 4 other people and we couldn't complete it because it was bugged out and we couldn't complete the quest because the NPC wouldn't respond. We gave up.

I went through this madness 2 times now and both times without getting the quest.
If I ll try solo there's a voice before the first gate opens but no quest also.

Please repair.

Just this, today. Why do we still have bugged quests like that 2 months after release?

just tried it. reloaded ui. relogged. the npc I'm supposed to rescue isn't even there. Group quit out. I'm sitting here staring at where the npc should be.

I've tried this with two groups now and not seeing the first ghost that gives the quest. We kill the NPC asking to be killed and nothing happens.

O my god. I thought I'm the only one who cannot see her/him. First time I ran the dungeon everything worked but I had to quit before finishing. So I went there again, quest marker shows where but there is no one. I abandoned it and did the dungeon again. I relogged. Doesnt show up. /:

The quest in this instance gets bugged if a player had the quest, did not finish it but did not drop it before zoning into the instance. If one member in the group who has the quest is 'past' saryne dralen, no other member can see her, so they get 'bugged'.

It will then bug it for the whole group. Most dungeons can bug in this way.

Also for Vaults of Madness, make sure people who have completed the quest here already are NOT the ones who kill the 'yellow' NPC who asks to be killed.

As a general rule for dungeon quests
(1) Anyone with a quest for a dungeon should drop the quest before zoning in
(2) No one should pick up the quest in the dungeon until ALL members have zoned in
(3) If someone does pick up the quest before all members are in zone, all should zone out again, drop the quest and try again.

If you think this is bad, wait until you attempt the Wayrest Sewers Veteran Dungeon mission. There are several check points all the way up until the end where it can bug out. It took me about a dozen goes at it for the mission to not glitch out, over the span of a few months. In fact, I have completed every mission before that one due to the severe glitching. The dungeon itself is fairly easy, but the mission glitching is just annoying and I am very happy to be done with it. LOL

we also had the same problem that the npc did not show up. now i am vet1 and will have to ask in zone chat for a new group to try it again. we had a similar problem with selenes web where the last boss never showed up. bugged dungeons bother me more than bugged quest as it is sometimes extremly difficult to do them later on again when you cannot use the group search anymore because you outlevel them. grouping is still a headache in this game.

Well, bugged quests are common enough but this one is A special one for me. Since i never tried it while leveling, it was one of those dungeons left for me to solo at veteran level. First time i tried was killed at first boss, and indeed immediately quit (alt+f4). In this way i understand why it bugged out.

Tried all common solutions:
- abandon while inside, then left dungeon and reenter, acquired quest again
- left dungeon, abandon while outside, reenter, acquired quest again
- lots of logouts in combination white many stated stages (while bugged, before taking quest, immediately after taking quest...)

i'm just wondering if any of these facts...
- i never tried it in group
- on my second try after realizing bugged quest i nevertheless continued dungeon and finished last boss
...interfere with that npc guy spawning?

And to quote them from Update 1.3.3 Patch notes:

"We have evaluated all Group Dungeon quests, and potential issues that could prevent quest progression have been resolved."

What lies. This quest has the same bug which I experienced with my Templar, two months ago.

There are two parts in Wayrest Sewers Veteran where if you jump down instead of taking the stairs, the NPC will bug out and not trigger the next part. Always take the stairs and it should not bug out.

Vault of Madness is normally bugged by a player who has already done the quest killing the NPC (who asks to be killed)

10 years later and this is still bugged. I couldn't progress past this point on an alt bc the quest NPC Saryne Dralen didn't show up.
