Moongrave Fane damage reflect and Null Arca

On the Kujo Kethba boss, my team kept dying to the invulnerability phase. Since we were going for a trifecta clear, we kept resetting and trying again. It wasn't until after several wipes and resets that we realized both DPS wore the Null Arca set. It's possible that light attacking the boxes would fire a shard at the main boss, who then reflects the damage back to you. A friend of mine told me that in DSA, one of the templar adds kept killing him until he realized Null Arca activated on it. I'm not sure if this is a bug but I'm posting this here for anyone who experiences difficulty in this dungeon.

I wonder if the same thing can happen on last boss HoF while killing adds, shock terminal

In the meantime, you can just ignore the boxes and heal through the geysers. Most people do it that way nowadays.

Learn the mechanics, HOF shock terminals will kill you if you are on the floor. You have to stand on the rails and get hit by the swirling blade.

Doesn't the boss reflect any attacks that hit him during that phase? Yeah, you shouldn't be hitting him at all, but it can be hard to completely avoid and is usually not a big deal. But if your Null Arca sliver decides to choose him, that might be bad news...

Null Arca is intended to hit the last target you damaged. If you pull your damage in time and focus on the target you should, it should not be an issue. If NA is hitting the boss when you’re damaging a conduit, then I’d check whether it’s bugged.

This is absolutely the correct strategy for Kujo, because ZOS didn't listen to the feedback that was given during PTS.

ZOS intended for players to move the boxes to plug the geysers, but it takes time to move the boxes into position, and if the geyser spawn RNG is bad, it could take quite a lot of time to move them. So let's say the geysers spawn far from the boxes, so it will take 14s to plug the geysers. That means you need to survive the full geyser damage for those 14s while you're plugging. But if you can survive the full geyser damage for 14s, then you can just as easily survive the full geyser damage for a little bit longer (the geyser eruptions stop on their own after 20s).

So the benefit of plugging the geysers is limited. Now what are the downsides to plugging the geysers? Well, back to our example where it takes 14s to plug them, surviving them for that long is much easier when everyone is together to be healed, whereas if everyone is scattered around moving boxes, it's a lot harder to heal through the geyser damage. In other words, doing the mechanic PUNISHES players by making survival more difficult. Finally, adds always accompany the geyser mechanic, and if you go plug geysers, you're ignoring the adds. Much better to use that downtime to kill the adds instead.

So, what should ZOS have done to fix this? Well, there are two main problems here: the fight punishes people for spreading out to do the mechanic, and there's just no incentive to do the mechanic. And both can be solved by having the geyser damage ramp up, which is what was suggested to ZOS during PTS. Make it do small, negligible amounts of damage initially, so people aren't being punished for spreading out to do the mechanic. And for the final few seconds of that 20s window, have that damage be so high that it would wipe the group. This would then force people to play the mechanic instead of ignoring it.

But since these recommendations were ignored by ZOS, my recommendation to players is to just ignore the mechanic. Hold the boss on the edge of the room (the location where he initially spawns in is perfect). Stop damage when the boss goes immune, and then stack up in the middle of the room, away from the boss (this is why you hold the boss on the edge of the room), and then chain all the adds to the middle. Kill adds, heal, and just wait out the 20s. Rinse, repeat, and this fight is easy peasy.

Standing on the center rails is necessary to avoid the Toxic Coolant from the grates on the sides during terminal phase.

The terminals on the final boss applies unresistable and undodgeable Terminal Feedback damage to everyone at the end of terminal phase, regardless of location, equivalent to 34% of the player's health per surviving terminal, which is why at least two of them must be destroyed.

The other form of feedback damage during terminal phase is Feedback from the Assembly General, which takes the form of unresistable (but dodgeable) projectiles equal to the amount of damage absorbed by the Assembly General's invulnerability shield.

Well maybe Null Arca isn't activating on other mobs, but lingering ground and sticky dots means that it takes time for damage to fall off. So a shard can still fire off and be damage reflected. This is mostly a PSA to players to not wear Null Arca on damage reflect mechanics
